St. Lawrence's Church, Tubney

St. Lawrence's Church in Tubney consists of a chancel with organ chamber, nave, south porch and west bellcote. It is a stone building in the 14th-century Gothic style with a three-light east window. The timber roofs are open and the bellcote contains two bells. It was designed by A. W. Pugin, and consecrated in 1847. The font was given by Queen Adelaide in 1846.

Augustus Pugin was the leading figure in the revival of the Gothic style which became increasingly important throughout the nineteenth century and gradually replaced Classical styles in popularity. Pugin was a Roman Catholic and most of the church buildings he built were Roman Catholic. St. Lawrence's Church in Tubney was in fact his only Anglican church and was consecrated in 1847.
